Looking Back: Last week the County Commission unanimously voted to support a request from Broward’s 31 municipalities to allocate up to 30% of the C.A.R.E.S Act funds the County received for COVID-19 mitigation and recovery. This is an important step toward aiding Broward’s municipalities, many of which have shouldered great fiscal burdens during the COVID-19 pandemic in keeping all residents safe. A working group comprised of County and Municipal Administration along with municipal elected officials will be working to establish an agreed upon plan that will ensure the best use of these funds for our mutual residents.
