Since 1971, Memorial Day, which is observed on the last Monday of May, is when our nation has honored our fallen military heroes. Cities throughout our ONE Broward community will hold parades, commemorative events, and festivities on May 29 to thank and remember our heroes. As we reflect, I urge everyone to embrace the true spirit of the holiday. Memorial Day is a time to honor our military personnel who while serving our country made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms. To their loved ones, families, and friends, we support you and feel deeply for your loss.
