Looking Ahead: For 14 years, I have had the honor of serving as a nurse alongside dedicated physicians who go above and beyond to provide solutions and save lives. I see first-hand the sacrifices doctors make to heal patients. March 30 is Doctors’ Day, an annual observance that unofficially began in 1933 and in 1990 was declared a legal holiday by President Bush. On March 30 let your doctors know the important roles they have in your lives by saying thank you. I know how challenging saving a life can be, and the recognition of the effort is so very meaningful.
