Looking Ahead: Next Sunday our Broward community will remember the 17 lives tragically lost on February 14, 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. That day the unthinkable happened and it forever changed our community. Then and now, my sympathy and compassion lies with my Broward neighbors who lost their children and loved ones that day. While nothing will ever replace the lives lost that day, I, along with my Broward League colleagues remain committed to advocating for the continued increase of public safety measures in our schools and community.
