Looking Ahead: 1 in 8. That’s how many women are estimated to develop breast cancer in their lifetime. While rare, men can also develop breast cancer. October 1 marks the start of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month – the perfect opportunity to research and better understand this terrible disease. According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide. Don’t wait, become educated about theearly warning signs and get regular screenings. Together we can continue the fight, support loved ones who are battling this disease, and hopefully change the statistics for the better.
