Looking Ahead: As Broward County students and parents prepare to start a new academic year online, I encourage everyone to remember our other essential workers – our teachers. In the face of uncertainty, Broward’s educators remain dedicated to teaching our children by embracing systems and practices that are entirely new for our schools. There was no established plan for quickly transitioning to distancing learning, and our teachers have done their best to create new ways to educate our children. I thank our teachers for their commitment and appreciate the role they play in our children’s lives by inspiring a love of learning and discovery.
