Looking Ahead: Last week, the U.S. Census Bureau announced the new deadline to complete the Census is September 30, 2020, one month earlier than the planned October 31, 2020 deadline. This puts at risk the accuracy of population numbers used to determine federal funding and political representation for Broward over the next decade. Also, historically undercounted, vulnerable populations may become even more disenfranchised if not included. I encourage everyone to complete their Census survey. You can ensure funding for vital community programs, grants, and business development resources. We are one Broward; let’s make every voice count. Visit my2020census.gov or call (844) 330-2020.
