April 14-– Rising sea levels continue to be a key focus item as studies project a two-foot rise in sea levels, worldwide, by 2060. Recent reports have also highlighted the economic impact equating to a loss of approximately $15.8 billion in national property values over the last decade, with approximately $500 million of that occurring right here in Broward County. Looking forward, three of the fifteen highest risk cities in the U.S. are located in Broward County underscoring the vital importance of collaborative, regional planning to ensure our communities remain safe and above rising seas in the coming years.
