January 20th – As we honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. we reflect on his great leadership and sense of community. Dr. King’s commitment to the American Civil Rights movement has had a monumental impact on our society and we are better cities, states and nation because of him. We can never forget his sacrifice. Many of our cities will hold events to honor Dr. King and we hope you participate in them. More importantly, remember to honor Dr. King everyday by engaging in your community and being kind and thoughtful in your actions.
