Last week: “Safe Cities, Safe Florida” is an initiative of the Florida League of Cities president, Susan Haynie that provides governments with training and educational resources to better serve their residents in time of crisis. It shares best practices for building strong partnerships with agencies and organizations in the areas of incident management, health and safety, crisis communication and interagency coordination. The initiative provides tools to strengthen each city’s ability to prevent, neutralize and respond to threats. Although they face varied issues, cities are working together to create safer communities and better lives for everyone who lives, works and plays in Florida. Read
