Looking ahead: It has been almost 50 years since the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. King demonstrated the type of visionary leadership that we all should try to emulate today. He had the ability to galvanize people of all races and unite them in a peaceful way through his heart-moving speeches, which ultimately ended legal segregation of African Americans in the United States. As leaders within our cities, communities, businesses, and even our homes, we should, like King, share what we believe; encourage new ideas; involve everyone; motivate people to achieve their best and not be afraid to face obstacles.
