Looking Back: On May 31 another mass shooting occurred as a lone gunman took the lives of 12 people in Virginia Beach. Broward County citizens know the pain felt by those in Virginia Beach all too well. Our hearts are united in grief with the victims of this tragedy, their families, and first responders. While these horrific incidents rock us to our core, we must continue to be vigilant and engaged in gun safety laws. Currently, several Broward cities are in litigation that would allow local input on issues of gun safety. A challenging position for many but certainly worth consideration.
