Looking Ahead: March marks the celebration of Women’s History Month, a time when we remember and acknowledge the contributions of women, both notable and every-day, to our society. It’s also a time to reflect on women’s history and educate on the need for equality. This year, we celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the 19th amendment, giving women the right to vote. I would like to honor this occasion by recognizing the women throughout history who broke barriers, took risks, and changed laws, as well as thank the women of Broward County whose daily contributions make our community a better place.
