Last week: I am participating in the Parkland-Coral Springs March for Our Lives, one of more than 55 marches statewide and 800 worldwide. As a Stoneman Douglas graduate, and elected official who now represents this community, I’m incredibly proud of all who participated in rallying a nation for increased school security and gun safety. It is here, the heart of the movement, where those who experienced traumatic loss have turned it into a call to action. We must support their efforts to bring about change and continue to honor the 17 students and faculty who lost their lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Read
