Looking ahead: As we continue to deal with the tragedy of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting, I encourage each one of you to reach out and communicate with your elected officials. Don’t think that because the media reports something, it translates to your state representative, senator or congressman, or that your opinion does not matter. Have the courage of your convictions and the necessary perseverance to make sure they understand how these very difficult days have impacted you and your family. Laws need to change, and citizens of Broward County can be the change agents. Get involved. Make a difference. Read
