Looking Ahead: Monday evening the world seemly paused when Damar Hamlin, a Buffalo Bill safety, suffered cardiac arrest during a nationally televised football game. In the aftermath of this horrific event, we learned of the life-saving measures taken by first responders to restore his heartbeat. When incidents of this magnitude occur, as municipal leaders, we often review our protocols and inquire if we can do better. As our ONE Broward Community continues to pray for Hamlin let’s not forget the importance of learning CPR and the location of Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED). You never know when you are going to need it.
