There is no better time to reflect how stress impacts you than International Stress Awareness Week (November 7th-11th). A poll by the American Psychological Association (APA) revealed Americans’ stress levels are rapidly rising this year due to factors like inflation, COVID-19 variants, and supply chain issues, just to name a few. Chronic stress can cause debilitating physical and emotional symptoms like insomnia, tension, and high blood pressure. I encourage our ONE Broward community to embrace stress-relieving activities by making it a top priority to spend time outdoors, practice breathing exercises, and setting attainable goals to help reduce stress levels.
