Looking Forward: Halloween is a fun time, but did you know that there are approximately 4,000 Halloween-related injuries in Broward County each year? So, let’s all embrace a safety-first approach this year. Some safety tips include making sure you avoid costumes that are tripping hazards, check the candy your kids collect and throw-out any that are unsealed or have been tampered with, look both ways when crossing the street, and use designated crosswalks. Lastly, check your city calendar as many of our 31 municipalities are hosting safe, family-friendly Halloween events. To my ONE Broward community please have a safe Halloween!
