Last week: The Broward League of Cities recently met with Senator Gary Farmer, Broward Legislative Delegation Chair, as well as other delegation members, to discuss key issues of importance to our municipalities. The League is working together with the delegation so our Broward legislators will understand the needs of our cities in advance of legislative committee meetings and the beginning of the 2019 Legislative Session in March. Issues discussed included Home Rule, climate change, transportation and vacation rentals among others. The strong partnership between municipal and state elected officials positions Broward County to have a more meaningful role in state legislative issues. Read
