Looking Ahead: Tomorrow we will celebrate the 125th anniversary of Labor Day, a national holiday created to honor the American workforce. While many of us view the long weekend as the “unofficial end of summer” and a chance to celebrate with friends and family, it’s important to remember why we actually observe this holiday–to pay tribute to the hard work that has helped us realize our country’s ideals of economic democracy and prosperity. I encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the contributions of workers from all walks of life who have helped shaped our nation.
