Last week: Congratulations to Memorial Health System’s Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital on 25 years as one of the leading pediatric hospitals. U.S. News & World Report recognized the children’s hospital for the fifth consecutive year as one of the top 50 nationally in pediatric care. Since the legendary Joe DiMaggio cut the ribbon in 1992, the hospital’s medical staff has grown from 90 physicians to 650, and patient admissions have increased from 2,000 to 9,388.
