Last week: We offer our thoughts and prayers to the victims and families of the horrific Las Vegas shooting. As elected officials, we know that tragedy can strike within our cities at any time and without warning. Our first responders are well trained to respond, but we must never forget the personal and deep impact they suffer in dealing with these types of events. We are grateful for their service. We cannot let this disaster define us. We cannot let hate and violence win. In the days to come, let’s be just a little kinder and gentler to one another. Read
