Looking ahead: Recently, the Sun Sentinel reported on construction of new city halls and the impact they have on communities. Several Broward cities have or are planning new municipal complexes which provide a city nucleus. Usually city services are consolidated into one location; many offer retail and residential space, and equally important, entertainment and cultural facilities where residents can enjoy themselves. New construction is built to hurricane standards, accommodates upgraded technology and future growth. In my city, Coral Springs, our new municipal complex celebration will be held on Feb. 17, one of the most important events in our city’s history. Read
