Looking Ahead: July is Parks and Recreation Month. Parks ground us, they provide a place for people to gather regardless of race, gender, or age. Perhaps one silver lining to this past year was our reconnection with greenspaces- many of us chose to socialize outdoors with friends, neighbors, and family during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope we all continue to utilize your city’s parks for exercise, time with loved ones, or simply to connect with nature. Parks are a valuable resource and it’s so important that we all take time to enjoy them from time to time.
