Looking ahead: Did you know it took 15,000 women marching in New York City in 1908 to raise awareness for fair wages, working hours, voting rights and to get March 8 designated as International Women’s Day? It was President Jimmy Carter who proclaimed this week as National Women’s History Week. Seven years later, Congress designated March as Women’s History Month. This month, I look forward to leaning into the accomplishments of the many women who have helped shape our nation and world.
