Looking Back: One of the most important news stories the Sun Sentinel published this past year was regarding the work being done to develop a county-wide solution to our garbage disposal and recycling systems. The Broward League of Cities and the Solid Waste Working Group have been working to energize One Broward on this very important issue. Our cities are working with the County on a waste generation study and I’m looking forward to continuing this collaborative effort in the new year. By energizing and working together we will develop a sustainable solution that will serve our communities for many years to come.
