Last week: Dec. 1 marked the 30th anniversary of World AIDS Day. This year’s theme was “Know Your Status.” Today three in four people living with HIV know their status. But we still have miles to go as those that don’t know are also not linked to quality care and prevention services. Many of our cities hosted walks, health fairs and other community events to educate and inform the public on ways to prevent the spread of HIV and to the help remove barriers to accessing HIV testing.
