May 12 — Looking Back: It has been my privilege to serve as President of the Broward League of Cities for the past year, and I am humbled by what we have accomplished together. Under my initiative of “Engage One Broward” we have worked diligently to identify solid waste and recycling issues impacting our cities, defended home rule, and developed initiatives to attract new leaders to protect and serve amidst national and countywide shortages of law enforcement personnel. As my tenure comes to a close, I feel confident that the League and Broward County’s municipalities will foster continued economic growth and prosperity for our residents.
