Last week: Four Broward County high school students were each awarded $1,000 from the Broward League of Cities’ Scholarship for Government Studies program. Sierra Molina, Pompano Beach High School; Zak Myers, South Broward High School; Rina Laklahlani, Nova High School; and Joany Vazquez, College Academy at Broward College fulfilled the requirements for the scholarship, which include preparing for a career in public service, public administration, political science or other government-related field. They have demonstrated strong leadership skills, academic achievement and a commitment to community service.
