Looking Forward: Ethics in government is a guiding principal of the Broward League. We strive to ensure local elected officials have the necessary tools and training to govern in the manner that our residents expect and deserve. Last Friday, over 50 public officials attended the League’s bi-annual ethics training workshop which included the Sunshine Law, public records guidelines, state/county ethics codes, and ethics enforcement. While satisfying the annual requirement of 4 hours of ethics training, these workshops provide opportunities for elected and legal experts to discuss real-life circumstances and best practices. Ethics will remain at the core of all we do.
