Looking Back: Members of the Broward League of Cities recently traveled as part of a Florida League contingent to advocate key issues in Washington D.C. Some issues discussed, such as the pending reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program, are directly pertinent to Broward communities that battle rising seas and tropical weather. Others topics included city-level management of wireless infrastructure, the need for full ADA compliance on municipal websites, and gaps in the cybersecurity training of municipal staff. Thank you to our elected Broward League members, for traveling to our nation’s Capital so Broward’s voices and concerns are heard.
