Last week: Congratulations to nine Broward County municipal officials who were recognized by the Florida League of Cites as 2018 Home Rule Heroes. This prestigious recognition is awarded to individuals for their commitment and efforts to advance the League’s legislative agenda and help protect the home rule powers of their city. Award recipients were constantly and consistently involved in communicating the League’s position on issues of importance to municipal governments. As local advocates on these issues, they were able to provide legislators with tangible examples of how the legislation impacted their mutual constituents. Read
