Looking Back: Last week the Hollywood Police Department lost two officers in less than 24 hours. Officer Yandy Chirino, who was just 28 years old, was killed while responding to a call and Lt. John Graham took his own life. On behalf of the League, I offer my condolences to the officers’ families, friends, and colleagues who are mourning their untimely deaths. Law enforcement personnel risk their lives each and every day to protect us and I urge you to stop and thank our hard-working men and women who admirably serve to protect our communities.
