Dr. Seuss said it best, “Fill your house with stacks of books, in all the crannies and all the nooks.” In honor of the author’s March 2nd birthday, National Read Across America Day was celebrated. The benefits of reading are well documented, including improved literacy, expanded vocabulary, reduced stress, setting a foundation for post-secondary success and more. To support graduating seniors reach their aspirations, the League’s 2023 Scholarship Program is now accepting applications for four $1,000 scholarships for students in our ONE Broward Community who embrace a career focused on government studies.
