This month our ONE Broward community embraces Water Safety Month and MentalHealth Awareness Month. In Broward oceans, rivers, canals, and lakes, in addition to pools, splash pads, and other recreation areas are enjoyable but can also be hazardous. Watching young children near water is imperative but encouraging families to teach their children to swim and learn water safety practices is crucial. The importance of bringing attention to Mental Health Awareness Month reminds us that it’s okay to talk to someone, and that mental illness can affect anyone. Let’s embrace the resources available to reduce the stigma around mental health
