Looking Ahead: Since 2002, April has been celebrated as National Garden Month. As a Master Gardener, I have contributed to more than 40 community gardens with the help and support of other volunteers. We have been able to reduce food insecurities, increase property values, create a greener footprint, beautify vacant lots, and educate our youth on horticulture and its benefits. If you have the opportunity to do so, actively participate in a community gardening project or create one in your own community- it will surely bring a renewed sense of peace for you this Spring.
