Looking Back: Last Thursday Broward League heard from the CEO and Director of Aviation of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Mark Gale. Since 2013 FLL has seen an increase of ten-million passengers annually. Gale’s commitment to FLL as an economic engine has resulted in vast improvements including new safety crosswalks and traffic signals, terminal modernization projects, runway expansion, and the largest residential noise mitigation program in the country. Proposed future improvements could add more than two 250,000 jobs and 3.75 billion dollars in revenue. With Gale’s leadership, and continued county-wide partnerships, FLL is poised to become Florida’s premier travel hub.
