Looking Forward: In 10 days, students across Broward County will be headed back to school for the beginning of the 2019-2020 academic year. I encourage Broward parents to take advantage of the many opportunities to help prepare for the new school year. The 2019 tax-free holiday that runs through August 6, is an excellent opportunity to secure school supplies. In addition, parents should check their local city event and school calendars for opportunities to meet their principals, school resource officers, and other education leaders. Let’s make this a productive school year.
