Looking ahead: Florida City Government Week begins this week. Our cities will celebrate what makes them great and promote how city services positively impact their residents. Cities provide a higher level of service than most governments, and generally receive higher approval ratings. Throughout the week, they will raise public awareness about municipal services and educate the public on how city government works by providing speakers at schools and community organizations, offering tours of city hall and displaying their police and fire vehicles while fostering civic education, collaboration and volunteerism. Take the time to learn about what makes your city great. Read
