Looking ahead: The Florida Highway Patrol, in an increased effort to make our roads safer, has launched the Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT) campaign targeting cars and commercial trucks. Helpful hints to drivers sharing the road with trucks: Stay out of the truck’s blind spot; Change lanes only when you can see both truck’s headlights in your rear-view mirrors; Don’t tailgate; and don’t cut off trucks because they take longer to stop. Last year, FHP troopers issued 67,144 citations to aggressive drivers. Practice safe driving habits (put down your cellphone) and dial *FHP *347 to report aggressive or dangerous driving. Read
