Looking Back: Last Tuesday, the Broward League of Cities’ School and Community Public Safety Task Force, co-chaired by Sunrise Mayor Mike Ryan and Broward County Commissioner Beam Furr, issued the League’s Updated Report and Recommendations to its June 2018 Initial Report and Recommendations. Formed in March 2018, the Task Force, comprised of a broad array of stakeholders, has focused on issues surrounding school safety and security. As the new school year begins, the Broward League remains dedicated and focused on the safety of our entire community, and I encourage you to learn more about the Task Force’s recommendations.
