Sun Sentinel 100 February 15, 2014 – There is good news for Florida taxpayers who are fearful of Identity Theft. To provide an extra measure of defense, Florida residents can apply for an Identity Protection PIN from the IRS. It is a six-digit number to be used on tax returns, in addition to an individual’s Social Security number. Florida was selected as one of three test markets where taxpayers can apply for the PIN.
