It was very disappointing that the transportation/infrastructure penny surtax did not pass. Without the additional revenue generated by this surtax, funding will not exist for many needed transportation and infrastructure improvements to happen in an appropriate time frame to meet the demands of our residents, businesses and visitors. We will continue to work with our professional staffs to implement our municipal capital improvement plans with available funding to make each of our cities the best it can be. We look forward to additional collaborative opportunities to work with Broward County in educating our residents about our transportation/infrastructure demands. Read.
