The diversity of candidates at the Broward League of Cities’ State Legislative Candidate Forum last week was distinguished by a variety of experience, age, and race. One consistent element was the candidates’ passion and their commitment to public service. The league was honored to host this important session, providing elected officials and others the opportunity to hear from candidates on local governments issues — especially home rule and unfunded state mandates.
