School is out this week, with summer increasing risks for our children. More children under the age of five drown in Florida than any other state in the nation. The best prevention is to always have someone actively watching young children when they are swimming. When kids are out of school and parents have a change in their driving routine is when children get left behind in the car. A good reminder is to put something in the back of your car like a briefcase of purse that you will need when you reach your destination. And remember to keep your children and yourselves hydrated to avoid heatstroke in our hot summer sun. Read article.
