1,000 elected officials from across Florida attended the Florida League of Cities annual conference in Orlando this weekend to share ideas, attend educational workshops and sessions, and discuss strategies for Florida’s future. The 2015 conference, “Florida Cities – A Public Conversation,” is held each August in various locations throughout the state. Topics of major interest this year included how to best leverage the strengths of a multi-generational workforce and how to harness the power of millennials. Numerous elected officials from municipalities in Broward County attended, bringing back fresh ideas for products, services and technologies to enhance the delivery of services to their residents.
