Sand starts flowing this month onto 5-miles of our coastal cities’ beaches. Our county spends millions of dollars annually to attract visitors who come here to enjoy our beaches along with our local residents. Beaches support tourism (we anticipate 15 million visitors next year) as well as the overall economy. Expanding the depth of our beaches has a positive impact on economic development by protecting our shoreline and increasing property values. It’s not just beach towns that benefit.
