Sun Sentinel 100 March 22, 2015 – Broward League of Cities members met with legislators in Tallahassee in support of its priorities during this third week of the Florida Legislature 2015 Session. Of key importance to our cities are issues including support for funding for affordable housing and the homeless; enabling a pathway for sober homes, which are recovery residences, to become certified by state-approved organizations; revising timeshare assessments, strengthening local discretion over regional growth management planning; re-authorization of the Enterprise Zone program; and providing new funding of Amendment 1 environmental priorities as intended by the voters.
